terms of service
effective 2026-06-05
These terms govern your use of the CLIable website and the CLIable software packages. The software is open source; these terms address the website, associated services, and the conditions under which you may use everything CLIable ships.
acceptance
By accessing cliable.dev or installing any CLIable software package, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or install the software.
If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. "You" means you and, where applicable, that organization.
the software
The CLIable runtime and connector packages are released under the MIT License. That license governs your rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell the software. The full text is included in each repository.
These terms of service are not a replacement for the MIT license — they are an overlay that covers the website, commercial offerings, and conduct. The MIT license terms take precedence for all matters concerning the source code itself.
acceptable use
You may use CLIable to govern agent actions in your own systems, build connectors, integrate with third-party APIs, and distribute derivative works in accordance with the MIT license.
You may not use CLIable, its website, or any associated service to:
- — circumvent, disable, or interfere with security or audit controls in a way intended to harm others or violate applicable law;
- — conduct automated scraping, crawling, or stress-testing of the cliable.dev website beyond normal browser usage;
- — impersonate CLIable or misrepresent your affiliation with the project in a way that is likely to mislead users.
no warranty / limitation of liability
The software and website are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. This mirrors the warranty disclaimer in the MIT license.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CLIable and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of the software or website — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Because the runtime is self-hosted and all execution decisions remain on your infrastructure, you are responsible for validating that your policy configuration matches your operational requirements before deploying agents against production systems.
changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time. Material changes will be noted via an updated effective date on this page. Continued use of the website or software after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will not apply changes retroactively to past use.
governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which CLIable operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
